The Attilio’s story began in 1996 with the opening of Attilio’s Kitchen in Denville. The restaurant was named in honor of the owner’s grandfather, Attilio Benequista, a master chef and patriarch of the family. “A step back in time”, was then and is still now, the theme behind Attilio’s Tavern. In keeping with the past, Attilio’s offers meals created from traditional family recipes which were handed down for generations.

The décor and music bring you back to a time of days gone by. The photos that adorn the walls were given to us from our customers at Attilio’s Kitchen. Our program, “Picture This” invited our customers from Attilio’s Kitchen to be a part of our new restaurant Attillio’s Tavern by allowing us to honor their loved ones in a special way. “We want your family hanging with our family,” the result, a variety of photos from as early as the 1920’s. In addition, vintage photos from the Dover Historical Society were also added to honor and display the unique town of Dover. The ambiance and décor create an atmosphere that is warm and inviting. The staff is always friendly, courteous and attentive.

Here at Attilio’s we recognize that different occasions, celebrations, meetings or just a simple dinner with friends or family may require special arrangements or a private room. Therefore, there are a variety of ways to experience all of the wonderful options that Attilio’s has to offer.

Our Main Bar was designed to accommodate customers who would like to dine at the bar or who would just like to have cocktails and socialize. The oversized bar offers full dinner service in a spacious and comfortable setting allowing for a pleasurable dining experience. Happy Hour at the bar always offers specials on drinks and appetizers and can be enjoyed Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00-6:00pm. Tuesday - All Night Happy Hour, starting at 4:00pm.

Dinner can be enjoyed in the Piano-Room or the Main Dining Room. These two areas are completely open to one another. The Piano Room offers seating directly in front of the stage and the Main dining room offer seating to the side. This combination allows us to accommodate our customers in a special way, offering them a variety of different seating options. In addition, customers can enjoy Dinner and dancing during the early dinner hours, as well as, in the later part of the evening. Private luncheon parties, corporate luncheons/ meetings, bridal showers, special gatherings, and repasts up to 120 people are available Tuesday through Saturday, upon request. Special meal packages are also available.

The Lounge is a smaller, more intimate room. It is a beautifully appointed room with a large oak bar. The room is complimented by soft lighting, and colorful vintage posters. The lounge offers “QUIET” Dinning during premium shows or nights with high energy entertainment. The Lounge can also be booked for Private parties accommodating up to 40 people. A private bartender is also available upon request. This room is available either for luncheons or dinner parties, Tuesday through Sunday.

The After Dinner Night Club here at Attillio’s is something that evolves throughout the night. If there is a Premium show or a Dinner show scheduled both dining rooms are used for dinner, and dancing is permitted and encouraged anywhere and everywhere throughout the dining rooms. Reservations are always recommended and are sometimes necessary for Premium Shows or Diner Shows. On an ordinary night, after dinner, candle lit tables and great music transform the dining rooms into a night club atmosphere. Beverage service is available tableside until closing.

Home at Attilio’s.... Remember waking up to the smell of garlic and onions frying in olive oil. Or maybe you remember the smell of fresh Italian bread, so soft, warm and crusty.
